Although imaging modalities, such as ventriculography, CT and MRI, are getting more developed, electrophysiological mapping for the implantation of deep brain stimulation for the treatment of movement disorder is widely selected surgical technique to refine the target selection and to get the best results with less side effects. This review discusses the technique of mapping and electrop hysiological findings of subthalamic nucleus (STN), globus pallidus internus (GPi), and ventralis intermedius (Vim) during the records using microelectrode or semimicroelectorde, microstimulation, and macrostimulation testing.-
