Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical characteristics of cognitive function. Methods: A total of 66 subjects of the children with traumatic brain injury at the age of six to fifteen and their guardians were selected. The subject was divided into two groups based on whether they had experienced loss of consciousness or not. This study was conducted using Korean-Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Rey-Kim Memory Test for children, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder diagnostic system. Results: The result showed that intelligence of the children with traumatic brain injury was same as the average and memory function was lower than the average. This result indicated that memory function is relatively declined. In the case of visual attention, the standard deviation of inattention, impulsivity and reaction time is higher than T score. This result also showed that more than half of the subject children were included in the group of higher threshold. Conclusion: There were significantly lower levels of Full Scale Intelligence Quotient and Performance Intelligence Quotient from the children who had experienced loss of consciousness. However, the difference in the rest domain was not up to significant level.-
