Over the last century, a lot of surgical procedures have been developed to treat stress urinary incontinence. With advances in medicine and
surgical techniques, the idea of incontinence surgery is tend to be a tremendous amount of interesting on creating quicker, safer, and less
invasive technique to correct SUI. Single incisional slings are the best described as third generation synthetic mid-urethral slings.
Depending on which product and procedure is being performed, these slings are still evolving to date. They offer a novel approach, less invasive
and improving success rates. Additional long term data and randomized comparative controlled trials are needed for the single incisional
sling to prove its effectiveness versus the gold standard mid-urethral sling before advocating its true minimal invasiveness
