안면부여과식 마스크 착용자의 작업동작에 따른 SWPF(simulated workplace protection factor) 평가

Abstract
호흡보호구가 효과적으로 유해물질 노출로부터 근로자를 지키기 위해서는 안면부와 밀착도가 중요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 호흡보호구의 보호 효과를 효과적으로 판단하기 위한 밀착도 검사 방법을 제안하는데 있다.
안면부 여과식 방진마스크를 착용하는 근로자 26명을 대상으로 설문조사 및 교육 전·후 밀착도 검사, 교육 후 통과자 15명에 대하여 밀착계수(FF) 검사와 모의작업장보호계수(SWPF) 검사를 실시하였다.
설문조사 결과 호흡보호구 착용 교육을 받아본 적이 있는 근로자는 받은 적이 없는 근로자보다 1.1배 밀착계수가 높았다. 교육 전·후 밀착계수 비교를 통해 6.4배의 교육 효과를 볼 수 있었으며 연령이 낮을수록 교육의 효과가 높았다(p=0.03). 작업동작별 밀착도 검사에서 FF 검사의 경우 동작 전 정상호흡, 깊은호흡, 대화, 머리 상・하, 동작 후 정상호흡, 머리 좌·우, 숙이기 순으로 밀착이 되었으며 SWPF 평가의 경우 대화(지시), 용접, 도장, 중량물 운반, 절단, 포장, 그라인딩 순이었다. 공통적으로 허리를 반복적으로 굽히는 동작이 마스크가 흐트러져 안면부와의 밀착을 떨어뜨렸다. FF와 SWPF 평가 간 비교를 통해 SWPF가 FF 검사에 비해 1.9배 낮은 밀착도 결과를 보여주었다(p=0.004).
따라서 호흡보호구 착용에 대한 정기적인 교육이 필요하고, 밀착도 검사 시 FF 검사 뿐만 아니라 SWPF 평가가 실제 동작에 대한 평가로 더 중요시 되어야 할 것이다.



The fitness between face and filtering facepiece respirator is important to protect workers from harmful materials. The purpose of this study is to suggest the effective fit test method to increase the fit between face and filtering facepiece respirator. 26 workers who usually wear filtering facepiece respirator were participated in this study. They were tested the fitness for the respirator before and after education. Among them, 15 workers passed the education and test. Finally these workers were participated in the fit factor(FF) test and the simulated workplace protection factor(SWPF) test.
The study results show the fit factor of the workers who were trained for wearing particulate filtering facepiece respirators was 1.1 times higher than that of the workers who were not. After the education the fit factor became 6.4 times higher. The younger the workers were, the higher the efficiency of the education was (p=0.03). Fitness was tested for each working movement and the fitness was better in the order of normal breathing before movement, deep breathing, conversation and head up and down, normal breathing after movement, head left and right and bending. For the SWPF test, the fitness was better in the order of conversation(instruction), welding, painting, carrying heavy objects, cutting, packing and grinding.
The mask is continuously loosen from the face while participants are bending their waists. The FF and SWPF tests were compared and found that SWPF showed 1.9 times lower fit than FF (p=0.004).
Accordingly, it is necessary to conduct a regular education of wearing filtering facepiece respirator, and not only FF test but also SWPF test should be focused more on accessing actual behavior during the fit test.
