Calcified nodules on the heel have been observed in low-birth weight neonates subjected to repeated heel pricks in intensive care units. Calcified nodules appear at 4 to 12 months of age and disappear spontaneously at 18 to 30months. We report a 12-month-old girl with calcified nodule on the heel. There were no clinical signs of inflammation and tenderness. The patient was born at the 31st week of pregnancy and spent 6 weeks in a neonatal intensive care unit. Histopathologic examination revealed a deposition of calcium material.-
