신병훈련이 흡연에 미치는 영향분석

이 연구는 신병훈련과정이 스트레스로 작용하여 흡연형태에 변화를 주는가를 알아보기

위하여 1993년 3월 8일부터 4월 30일까지 신병 훈련소를 4차례 방문하여 자기기입식 설문

조사를 실시하였다. 조사대상은 지역 및 신분을 고려한 562명이었으며 단일집단 전후 비

교분석 연구 설계를 하였다.

연구결과를 정리하면 입대전 흡연율은 72.4%였고, 입대전후의 흡연량의 변화는 통계학

적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 신병훈련기간중 비흡연자중 신규흡연자는 25.8%였으며, 흡

연량 변화에 영향을 미칠 변수는 흡연시작 연령, 지역, 입대전 용돈, 운동량이었고, 중회

귀 분석모형의 설명력은 6.8%였다.

이 연구를 종합해 보면 신병훈련 전후의 흡연량 변화가 매우 작게 증가하였으나 흡연

통제요인들을 감안하거나 신규흡연자의 큰 증가를 감안할 때 신병훈련이라는 과정이 흡연

형태에 변화요인으로 작용하였다고 볼 수 있다.

A study on the effects of the army draftees training on smoking

This study is to examine how the army draftees training effects their smoking due

to stress during the training period. The data were collected from self-answered

questionnaires by visiting the boot camp 4 times from March 3rd to April 30th,

1993.

Total number of samples were 562 subjects areas and status, and the data were

analyzed by one group pre-test and post-test method.

According to the results, the smoking rate before joining the army was 72.4%; and

there was no statistical difference in the smoking proportions before and after

joining the army.

During the training, 25.8% of the prior non-smokers began smoking. The variables

which have influenced smoking amount were starting age of smoking and area

allowence before joining the army, exercise. R-square of stepwise multiple

regression model was 6.8%.

In conclusion, amount of smoking has increased after joining the army.

Considering smoking-controlling factors and increased new smokers, stress from

training seems to be the important factor influencing smoking.
