일부 지방자치단체 공무원의 정신건강 상태에 관한 연구

이 연구는 지방공무원들을 대상으로 공무원들의 정신건강상태와 그 요인을 파악하려는

목적을 위해서 경기도내 일부 지방공무원 407명을 대상으로 설문지 조사를 실시한 결과

다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다.

1. 대상자의 정신건강척도의 반응특성은 강박증 척도가 가장 높은 점수를 나타냈고, 직

종별로는 행정직이 기능직보다 신체화, 강박증 척도에서 통계학적으로 유의하게 높은 점

수를 보였다.

2. 대상자의 스트레스 척도는 연령이 증가할수록 낮은 점수를 보였고, 직급이 낮을수록

높은 점수를 나타냈다.

3. 대상자의 종교, 결혼여부, 교육정도, 근무년수, 근무지는 통계학적으로 유의한 차이

가 없어 정신건강에 큰 영향을 주지 못하였다.

4. 스트레스 척도가 높은 집단이 낮은 집단보다 간이정신진단검사의 모든 척도에서 통

계학적으로 유의하게 높은 점수를 보였다.

지방공무원들의 정신건강상태는 다른 연구결과와 비교해 볼 때 정신건강장애가 다소 높

은 것을 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 앞으로 지방공무원들의 정신건강문제를 상기시키고 이들을

위한 보다 효과적인 정신건강프로그램을 개발시켜야 할 것이다. 이 연구는 많은 제한점

을 안고 있지만 지방공무원들의 정신건강생태에 관한 연구나 지방정신보건사업을 위한 하

나의 기초자료로서 이용될 수 있을 것이다.

Mental health status of civil servants in provincial self governments

The purpose of this study is to identify mental health status and factors

affecting it among provincial civil servants. The 407 civil servants in Kyoungi

province were selected for interviewing. For response characteristics,

obsessiveness showed highest score. Administrative worker had significanly higher

scores for somatization and obsessiveness scores than that of technical worker.

Stress level was lower for older people and higher for lower class of one's

position. Religion, marital status, education, duration of work, work site were not

significant for mental status. Those with high stress scores had significantly

higher scores for all levels of SCL-90-R(Symptom Check List-90-Revision) than those

with low stress scores.

Comparaed to other studies, mental health status of provincial civil servants

showed a higher rate mental disorders.

It is important to focus on improving mental health problems and use this study

for future mental health studies on civil servants or basic data for mental health

project.
