Abstract

[영문]

This study was designed to observe the clinical & roentgenographic findings on the replanted tooth of human based on its stability & function, periodontal tissue reaction, and root resorption or bony ankylosis.

15 teeth were replanted into their respective alveoli and stabilized with Essig's wiring method.

Those teeth were observed in intervals of 1, 7, 14, 28, 35 days and every 2 months.

The following results were obtained.

1. In the evaluation of 15 teeth replanted, 9 cases showed successful results while 6 were failed because of root resorption or bony ankylosis.

2. Even in successful cases, there were spontaneous mild diffuse resorption along the entire root surface which was foolowed by re-construction of lamina dura after 1-2 months in their healing process of replanted teeth.

3. Effective re-construction of lamina aura was noticed when there was a physiologic masticatory function after removal of splint.

4. Progressive root resorption or bony ankylosis was observed within 2 months in healing process of replanted teeth.
