dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antibacterial effect and cytotoxicity of titanium anodized in two different solutions: sodium chloride (NaCl) solution and sodium chloride (NaCl) + calcium acetate (CA) + ß-glycerol phosphate disodium salt pentahydrate (ß-GP) mixed solution. The results showed that the titanium anodized in NaCl + CA + ß-GP solution had an increased antibacterial effect compared with commercially pure titanium. In addition, cytocompatibility was improved for titanium anodized in the mixed solution compared with titanium anodized in NaCl. Therefore, this antibacterial, cytocompatible titanium is a promising material for use in dental implant systems. | - |
