Abstract
Lots of family, twin, adoption studies have been performed to evaluate the heritability of the schizophrenia, and the results of the studies have shown strong evidences of the heritability of the schizophrenia, Recent studies focused on the genetic locus related to the schizophrenia, and the exact mode of transmission of that gene. The development of the molecular biology made it easier to approach the genetic background of the schizophrenia Though many candidate genes, including chromosome 5, 11.
And sex chromosome, were evaluated with linkage analysis, no candidate genes were to be related to schizophrenia However, considering the large numbers of the genes that encode the human nature, only small fractions of the genes have already been studied. So lots of genes were left to be scrutinized We hope that the genes involving schizophrenia might be found in the future, with rapid development of the genetic molecular biology.
