The Asia-Pacific region is rapidly experiencing changes in disease incidences, phenotypes, and prognosis in various colorectal diseases particularly in inflammatory bowel diseases and colorectal cancer probably due to changes in diet, economics, and other environmental factors.1,2 However, the phenotypes of the diseases appear to be different compared to Western countries. Moreover, various and diverse medical situations among the regions have different accessibility to the medical systems, endoscopy, or therapeutic options. Therefore, the scholars in this region realized the necessity of a region-specific journal that covers those matters.-
