dc.description.abstract[한글] [영문] Using rabbits, the effects of complete temporary arrest of the cephalic circulation were studied from the view point of both histopathology and physiology. During the arrest, animals were maintained by artificial respiration through the tracheal canule. The order of susceptibility to the arrest of circulation of various ganglion cells in the central nervous system is as follows; Purkinje cells in cerebellum, nuclei in cerebral cortex, basal ganglia nuclei, ganglion cells in spinal cord, and cells in muedulla oblongata. According to the above results vital center seems to be relatively tolerable to the arrest of circulation. Considering the duration of circulatory arrest, no significant effects appear to be resulted from the arrest up to 4 minutes, but in 6 minutes or longer duration, considerably serious results may affect animals, and the longer the duration, the greater the effects.-
