마우스에 개회충의 감염기충란 약 1,000개를 감염시킨 30일 후 실험동물에서 검출된 유충수는 최고치에 달하여 마우스 1마리당 평균 633.9마리였고 그후 수가 점차 감소하여 감염 90일 후에는 120.2마리였다.
돼지회충 감염기충란 약 1,000개를 감염시킨 마우스에서의 유충 검출수를 보면 감염 5일후 마우스 1마리당 평균 9.0마리였고 10일 후에는 그 수가 급격히 감소하였으며 감염 20일 후에는 유충을 검출할 수 없었다.
개회충에 감염된 마우스에서는 감염 20일후부터 혈청내 항체가가 증가하기 시작하였다.
건강대조군 마우스에서는 혈청내 항체가가 1:2∼1:8인데 비해 개회충에 감염된 마우스의 혈청내 항체가는 감염 20일 후 1:4∼1:64이었으며 감염 90일 후에는 1:128까지 증가하였다.
돼지회충에 감염된 마우스 혈청내의 항체가는 감염 10일 후부터 증가하기 시작하여 감염 50∼70일 후에는 1:128가지 증가하였으나 대조군 마우스 혈청내의 항체가는 1:2∼1:16이었다. 또한 감염후 최종검사 기간인 70∼90일까지 시간의 경과에 따라 그 항체가도 현
저히 증가함을 알 수 있었다.
개회충 유충과 돼지회충 유충에 감염된 마우스 혈청을 사용하여 이 두가지 유충에 대한 항원가를 비교하였더니 동종항원(同種抗原)에 대하여는 이종항원(異種抗原)에서 보다 형광항체가가 높았으며 또한 교차반응도 적음을 알 수 있었다.

Sera from mice infected with embryonated eggs of Toxocara canis and Ascaris suum by administration directly into the stomach were tested to observe the changes of the Toxocare and Ascaris antibodies level using the indirect fluorescent antibody technique. Larvae obtained by embryonating and hatching eggs were frozen-sectioned for use as antigens. All sera were inactivated by heating for 30 minutes at 56℃ and diluted with PBS(pH 7.2). As conjugate, rabbit anti-mouse globulin fluorescein conjugated(Sycco) were prepared at 1:32 dilution. Fluorescent microscopy was performed in dark field under oil immersion with fluorescent microscope (A.O.).
The number of larvae from the mice infected with T.canis reached the highest in its number at 30th day after infection, and then decreased gradually. the number of the Ascaris suum larvae detected from the mice was 9 per mouse at 5th post-infection day, and then decreased rapidly.
From the 20th post-infection day, no larva of Ascaris suum was recovered.
In the sera of Toxocara canis infected mice, the fluorescent antibody titer increased from the 20th post-infection day, and the highest titer(1:128) was continued until 90th day of experimentation. Whereas, antibody titer of sera in the control mice kept less than 1:8.
The fluorescent antibody titer in the serum of mice infected with Ascaris suum began to increase from the 10th post-infection day, and its titer increased up to 1:128 at the 50-70th post-infection day. In the control mice sera the titers were less than 1:16.
As the duration of infection longer, the titers were also increased, and vice-versa.
The antibody titer of mice sera was higher when homologous antigen was used than with heterologous antigen. Antigenicity of Toxocara larva and Ascaris larva was compared using sera of mice infected with Toxocara canis or Ascaris suum.
Using serum mice with Ascaris suum infection cross reaction was obtained with Toxocara canis larva but was low in its titer.
