서울시내 일개 공업고등학교 학생의 생활적응과 건강상태에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 공업 고등학교 학생의 생활 적응과 건강상태와의 관계를 규명하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다.

청소년기에 해당하는 고등학생들은 발달단계에 있어서 어느 시기 보다도 많은 문제와 과제에 직면하게 된다.

또한 이 시기는 신체적 발달 동료 및 이성과의 관계 학업성취 진학문제 또 부모로부터의 독립 등으로 불균형이 심하여 불안과 갈등이 고조되는 시기이기도 하다.

그러므로 청소년기의 이러한 특징이 정서를 불안정하게 하며 생활적응에 어려움을 가져다 줄 수 있다.

특별히 공업고등학교는 공업분야에 종사할 직업인 양성을 목적으로 하는 학교이며 사회 경제적으로 어려운 여건에 있는 학생이 많으므로 생활 적응상 문제점이 많다고 사려되어 생활적응과 건강상태와의 관계를 규명할 필요성을 느껴 이들의 건강관리를 위한 자료를 제공하는데 도움이 되고자 본 연구를 시도하였다.

연구의 대상은 서울시내에 소재하고 있는 일 개 공업고등학교 학생 224명을 대상으로 하였다.

연구방법은 질문지법을 사용하였으며 고등학생의 생활적응을 파악하기 위하여 김호권의 표준 적응 검사를 이용하고 건강상태를 파악하기 위해서는 남호창의 간이형 CMI (Cornell Medical Index)를 이용하였다.

This study is a descriptive survery research to investigation the relationship between life adjustment and health status of technical-High School students.

The high school students who belong to the mid adolescent period face more problems and subjects than those who belong to other periods.

Adolescents can be a storm and stress period with many problems such as physical development, relationships wish peers or the opposite sex, study, proceeding to higher education and independence from parents.

Anxiety and conflict may increase because of physical and mental instability.

So, it is necessary to look at the adolescent period as to emotional disturbacne, life adjustment, behavior problems.

This study, in particular, examined the relationships between life adjustment and health status of adolescents attending technical-high school and whether it is different from students in regular high schools.

The subject for this study were 224 students who were attending 1st & 2nd year of a technical-high school in Seoul.

A study technique was used as the data gathering method.

The instruments used for this study were the standarized adjustment test (developed by Kim Ho Kwon) for the survey of students life adjustment and the modified Cornell Medical Index(developed by Nam Ho Chang) for the survey of student's health status.

Data collection was carried out on may 4. 1988 and the collected data were statistically analyzed by percentage, t-test and Analysis of Variance.

The result of this study are as follows.

1) The group of students with a high problem rate for life adjustment had many problems in "Social adjustment" (74 students, 33.0%), "health" (66 students, 29.5%) and "relations with the opposite sex" (64 students, 28.6%).

On the other hand they had few problems with "the furture" (48 students, 21.4%).

And degree of severity of the problems was as fellows: "social adjustment", "health", "relations with the opposite sex", "personal adjustment", "personal problem", "school", "home", "future".

2) The mean score for the physical health status was 6.98 and psychological health status was 7.84 and there was no statistically significant differences between subjects in the two grades.

3) With regard to the relationship between the subject's life adjustment and health status it was found that those who have more problems in life adjustment have more health problems.

This was statistically significant in the eight problem areas(F=29.667, p<.001).

4) Considering the relationship between health status and general characteristics it was found that for economic status there was a statistically significant differences(F=5.197, p<.05).

In conculusion, life adjustment and health status showed a positive relationship.
