청소년의 아토피 피부염 관련 요인 분석 : 국민건강영양조사 3기를 대상으로

Abstract

[한글]전 세계적으로 증가하고 있는 아토피 피부염을 포함한 여러 알레르기 질환은 우리나라에서도 청소년에서 가장 흔한 만성질환 중 하나이다. 본 연구는 2005년 국민건강영양조사에서 만 12세 이상 만 19세 미만 청소년을 대상으로 지난 1년간 의사진단 아토피 피부염군과 정상군으로 나누어 아토피 피부염의 위험요인을 밝히고자 하였다. 2005년 국민건강영양조사에서 만 12세 이상 만 19세 미만 청소년은 3,316명이나 본 연구의 최종 연구 대상자 전체 청소년은 893명이었다. 연구대상자의 일반적 특성, 신체적 특성, 식습관이 아토피 피부염에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 결과, 아토피 피부염 외의 알레르기 질환인 비염, 식품알레르기가 있을 경우 아토피 피부염 발생과 유의한 관련성을 보였다. 또한 남자의 비해 여자가 아토피 피부염 발생 위험이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 하지만, 식습관 요인에서는 정상군과 아토피 피부염군이 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 위의 결과로 미루어 볼 때, 알레르기 질환은 또 다른 알레르기 질환에 영향을 미친다는 것을 알게 되었고, 식습관 관리가 필요함에도 불구하고 관리하지 못하고 있는 아토피 피부염군을 대상으로 올바른 식습관 교육 및 지속적 관리가 필요할 것으로 여겨진다. 그러나 응답자가 연구대상인 청소년 본인이 아닌 부모의 응답 비율이 많아 식습관 관련 질문에서 응답률이 낮았다. 때문에 본 연구에 결과를 정확한 식습관이라고 하기에는 부족한 부분이 있다. 또한 정상군의 비해 아토피 피부염군의 수가 적어 연구결과를 일반화하기에는 제한이 있다. 본 연구보다 더 많은 수의 아토피 피부염군을 대상으로 한 식습관 연구가 필요하다고 생각된다.

[영문]This study was to find factors affecting atopy dermatitis condirion among the teenagers in 12 to 18 yeaer old. The teens for the study were limited to the group diagnosed with atopy dermatitis by a physician during the last year.

The number of teenagers between 12 and 18 years old was 3,316 in the third Korea National health and nutrition examination survey. The number of the study subject was limited to 893.

The study was to see if there were factors affecting the atopy dermatitis such as general characteritics, physical condition, and food consumption and to compare the subjects with the teens without atopy dermatitis.

The results showed stopy dermatitis was satistically significant association with the pre-existing physical condition like allergic rhinitis and food allergy. And girls had higher risk of atopy dermatitis occurence than boys. Non-atopy dermatitis teens and atopy dermatitis teens had no difference in diet patterns.

In conclusion, an allergic disease was also associated with other allergic diseases. The limitation of the study was the low response rate on food consumption question among the teens with the disease. The might be due to small the teens with the disease. Despite the limitations, the present study suggested that people with atopy dermatitis should be given a nutrition education program for better food selection and diet management for the condition.
